So, you survived the week. Think back to Monday morning, when you were so upset that the weekend was over, and look at that, IT’S THE WEEKEND AGAIN!
Time to kick back, throw our feet up and just let go of our problems…
NOPE!
You see, the mindset that we are taught is to “live for the weekends”, and unfortunately, that has a huge impact on our goals. While I agree we should use it as an opportunity for some much-needed rest, I think it is very important that we keep some commitments for our weekends.
What I mean by that is simple…
Find one or two things every weekend that you MUST incorporate from your weekly schedule to hold you accountable to your routine. That could be anything!!! Waking up at a certain time, no junk food, gym, taking a walk… you name it and write it down. (For example, I make it a commitment that I work out at least one of the weekend days).
If we can take one or two things from the week and trickle them into our weekend we have the opportunity to stay consistent and balanced. As we know that is the GOAL we all strive for, which is so hard to achieve!
By implementing a strategy like this, it guarantees that we stay on the path to our goals, but it most importantly MAINTAINS our habits as well. Keeping those two things aligned, is a powerhouse that cannot be beaten.
So, write down one or two things you WILL COMMIT to every weekend. Implement them like it’s a weekday and crush it!
Do that, and I promise you will see results!
