Shocking. I just realized that I grabbed to look at my phone and I don’t even know why. Muscle memory? Addiction? Or a crazy habit I have created because I have done it thousands of times?
So, the question I have for you is: Are you making decisions out of habit or mindfulness?
Choose to be a choosier choice chooser!
Life is full of distractions and is so fast paced, we forget sometimes why we do what we are doing. We just roll through the day doing things, because well why wouldn’t we do them! I mean come on isn’t it easier to just do that, than actually have to think about it!
Take a step back. Breathe. Ask yourself why.
You see once we ask ourselves why, we can start to see whether the decisions we are making are mindful or not. Making mindful decisions helps us accomplish several things.
For one, it saves us time. Decisions based on habit, typically haven’t had much thought put into them, and can be costly to our time. Secondly, it helps us stay alert. There is nothing better than constantly challenging our brain to think outside of a routine that we are stuck in. In a way it’s us getting out of our box (which most of us need that). Lastly, it helps us live more meaningful lives. By doing this we start to look at our decisions with more meaning, and realizing they impact more than just ourselves.
Alright I am done preaching! But for real, the next decision you make, take a step back and think WHY. Why the heck am I doing this?!
Be thoughtful. Be mindful. Be the bomb.com.
