Imperfection, a word we are all familiar with, yet try to convince ourselves it doesn’t exist within us. If you find yourself in that boat, let me congratulate you, YOU ARE HUMAN! However, is that what we are settling for? Pretending it doesn’t exist? NO. The first step in becoming better and growing is acknowledging and embracing the imperfection we have.
By taking this first step, we have now changed our mindset from fixed to GROWTH.
When we have the mindset of growth we see things in a whole new light. A light which creates opportunity instead of closing doors. Life is all about having more opportunities in our lap, the more opportunities the better chance we have at success. Here are just a few ways to develop this growth mindset, and creating a more meaningful life for ourselves.
1.View challenge as an opportunity
In life, we are going to be constantly challenged and will fail countless times, use these as opportunities to get better and it will make us tougher.
2. Replace the word “failing” with the word “learning”
No scenario is a failure with the growth mindset. Instead, we have turned every situation into a learning opportunity. Positivity sparks results, which is the end goal.
3.Cultivate a sense of purpose
Through thorough research, it has been shown that when we do things with PURPOSE, we find our jobs and task more meaningful. Always keep the big picture in mind.
If we can start by incorporating these one at a time we can see amazing results. When we start viewing things as mutable, the situation gives way to the bigger picture. By having this outlook, and by changing the definition, significance, and impact of failure, we have changed the deepest meaning of effort.
So let’s get out of the bubble of pointing fingers! Stop focusing on all the negatives, and adapt this growth mindset. By doing so we change the way we think, which has a direct impact on how we proceed through life and determines the outcome of our missions.
Grow. Learn. Grow.
