How to Handle Adversity: Don’t Whine, Don’t Complain.

You are waiting in the drive thru for your morning dose of caffeine. It’s been a whole 3 minutes! The next thing from your mouth is: “I’ve been waiting in line forever! Come on, hurry up!”

How many of you am I describing? That’s me for sure! Well enough is enough my friends!

Complaining is Draining. It is negative. It brings us down. Let’s get off the complaint train.

So many times, we like to complain and bring up the negative. When there is an issue in the company, we complain. When someone is taking too long, we complain. When we don’t like the result, we complain. I could go on and on and on… but I won’t!

How can we fix this issue? How can we complain less, and think on the opposite side of the spectrum instead?

It’s simple, and boy do I like simple!

Commit to talking and thinking 20 percent about a problem, 80 percent about the solution.

We spend too much time on the problem, and not the solution. I mean it’s not “our fault”, how can we be the issue? (oh gosh come on, you know it’s you)

So, I have one simple ask: Share some positive shifts you can make.

If we can share SOLUTIONS to the problem and be POSITIVE, complaints and negativity won’t have room to fit in. And if you are like me, don’t you just get annoyed of the person that is always complaining and being a Debbie Downer (sorry my grandma taught me that phrase).

Here’s the deal. The complaint train stops now. Get off it and derail it.

Bring a solution. Bring positive vibes. Bring the best you dang it.
