The Highs... The Lows... And How to Handle Them In Each Situation

Everyone only shares the POSITIVES in their life! The moments of happiness! Look at social media for goodness sakes, it’s only the happy stuff people want to share! No one wants to share what isn’t going well or what is hurting.

Let’s admit it, there is nothing better in life than being at an all-time HIGH. When things are going amazing, we just got a raise, we get a compliment, you know all the good stuff.

But… when the going gets tough, that is when we crumble. We become our own worst enemy. Everything is miserable, our mood is bad, our mannerisms are bad. You know what I am talking about! How come?

Because we aren’t experiencing what we wish to feel! Let’s be honest do we really want to feel down in the dumps? Feel like a train hit us? NOPE!

So how can we go about fixing these lows?

1. When you are at a HIGH, write down some of the things you LOVE about it (how it feels)

2. Remember everyone experiences these lows, and you are HUMAN.

3. Seek a mentor or a friend to help you get through it. Help you see it objectively, not from our own bubble of emotion!

That is how I am overcoming these LOW points in my life.

I will be honest with you, it isn’t easy to overcome these droughts that happen in life but having an action plan makes it a hell of a lot easier, than if we don’t. Think of it like this. If you know a speed bump is about to come up in the road, do you speed up? No. You slow down to prepare and get over it nicely. Same thing goes for life, these speedbumps will occur, it’s just having the tools ready to fight them!

So, my question is: How do you get over these lows? How are you pushing through tough times? Do you experience them or am I the only one?

Go get it. Be strong. Be righteous.
